At this point, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and Limburg remained under French rule. The Meuse River serves as the northern border of the department of Brabant (encompassing Heusden, Woudrichem, Geertruidenberg, and Willemstad). The department of Drenthe has been separated from the department of Groningen.
